President Mohammadu Buhari has revealed the coronavirus pandemic lockdown will be relaxed on May 4th.

Buhari made it clear while addressing the nation on Monday night. He thanked Governors and religious bodies for their support so far. The president gave an update on how the country has been able to abridge the spread of the virus revealing Nigeria has trained over 10,000 health workers to tackle coronavirus.

According to President Mohammadu Buhari, the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja ends on 4th May and curfew follows.

Furthermore, the restrictions on social and religious gatherings shall remain in place. State Governments, corporate organisations and philanthropists are encouraged to support the production of cloth masks for citizens.
