Nigeria’s main opposition party has called for an investigation into the deaths of several people in Kano, saying the president needs to visit there. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, reports said many people had died in Kano within a week without being identified as the cause of their deaths. The call comes amid reports of conflicting reports on the cause of death in Kano during the corona outbreak. “It is unfortunate that President Buhari’s administration has failed to take any concrete action on the issue,” a PDP spokesman said. The PDP has said that President Muhammadu Buhari, who was appointed as the leader of the corona epidemic in Ecowas, has failed at home in addressing the Kano crisis.
